About us
A one-of-a-kind concept built for lifelong growth and wellbeing.
It started with care
Berta’s Village began with a personal vision — and that story continues to shape everything we do. The project's vision originated with entrepreneur and philanthropist Boris Zimin, who has lived with his family in Cyprus for many years. While supporting the development of rehabilitation programmes for children, he began contemplating a new way of living that would nurture both physical and mental vitality. His inspiration grew into something beautiful: a vibrant intergenerational community where seniors and their families could continue writing their stories with purpose, creativity and connection.
Our aim is to see life differently — by creating a community filled with meaning, where people live with joy and take responsibility for their own paths. A place built on equality, sustainability, and everything needed for a life well lived.
An essential part of this story is that the project isn’t driven by profit. I’m building it for myself and my family too — I see myself as a future resident of Berta’s Village. Naturally, we want to do things right. And I believe it will be a real joy if the model we’re shaping now turns out to be a success.

Where you feel most you
Work on Berta’s Village began in 2023 with the development of the concept, involving an international team of experts from Cyprus, Spain, the UK and other countries, who have vast experience in architecture and design, sustainable development, care and rehabilitation. The project is managed by Buena Vista 65 Club (UK).
The purpose-built hub format we have created is unique - though internationally it is closest to an integrated retirement community. At the same time, we’re a globally-minded team and we envisage local Cypriots as well as expats will feel at home in the village. As the project remains a personal story, it is named after Boris Zimin's daughter, Berta.

It is a venue for performances, masterclasses, and exhibitions, where residents and guests can immerse themselves in the world of art and discover new dimensions of creativity and connection. This is a new cultural and event hub for Limassol and Cyprus — with priority access for our residents.
The Art Centre will be a platform for the most inspiring exhibitions by local and international artists, with an artist-in-residence programme planned for visiting creators. Painting and drawing come to life in our creative studios — a space where all are free to explore their own style or join friends for one of our workshops. Opportunities for self-expression flourish for those interested in ceramics, textiles, photography, woodworking, and much more.
